摘要

The notion that there is plenty to be concerned about regarding legitimate purchase and use of prescription medications is valid. The issues of patient noncompliance and/or nonad-herence, polypharmacy and misprescribing are significant opportunities for pharmacists to address and help ameliorate significant problems. However, a perhaps understated yet burgeoning crisis pertains to the access of prescription-only medications through Internet websites. This has become a commonplace and in some cases, a deadly mechanism for patients to access prescription medications.
