摘要

This International Journal of Pharmacy Practice (IJPP) supplement contains abstracts of the pharmacy practice research papers and posters presented at the 2005 British Pharmaceutical Conference, in Manchester, UK, 26-28 September, 2005.The BPC pharmacy practice research sessions began in 1977, and abstracts of the papers were originally published by The Pharmaceutical Journal (PJ). Since 2001, on the direction of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain's Council, the abstracts have been published as an annual supplement to the IJPP, a sister publication of the PJ.This change was effected primarily for two reasons: since the IJPP is a specialist pharmacy practice journal, and because the BPC practice research sessions are an international showcase for pharmacy practice research. The 2005 programme includes research from the Norway, Thailand, Australia and Northern Ireland, as well as from all parts of the UK.
