摘要

High performance capillary electrophoresis (HPCE) is a powerful tool for separation of complex compounds. Capillary electrophoresis with amperometric detection is a prospective research area in HPCE and has attracted wide attention because of its highsensitivity, small dead volume and inexpensive equipment. Only a few reports on the use of chemically modified electrode (CME) in capillary electrophoresis have been published. In this note a novel modified electrode dispersed with ultrafine platinum particles on the surface of a 30 μm carbon fibre microelectrode was investigated in capillary electrophoresis electrochemistry. Hydrazine is not an easily oxidizable compound, exhibiting a large overpotential towards electrooxidation at ordinary solid electrode, so it is difficult to determine it by amperometric detection. Our Pt particle-modified electrode offers good catalytical activity for hydrazine as well as excellent stability.
