Increasing use of greenhouse glass around the vehicle. Higher fuel prices. Continual demand for greater fuel efficiency. Passenger comfort. It all adds up to one hot problem: reducing the heat load on vehicle interiors. Automakers are looking for ways to increase passenger comfort and improve vehicle appearance while avoiding electromagnetic interference with the ever-increasing number of mobile electronic devices housed in vehicle interiors. A new non-metallic film product-3M Solar Reflecting Film (SRF)-tackles all these issues and more. The all-polymeric multi-layer film is neutral in color, providing excellent infrared reflection without interfering with vehicle communication. Because 3M SRF is completely non-metallic, there also are no corrosion issues.
