Fraunhofer-IFF Magdeburg working together with companies from electric engineering/electronics and mould making developed and tested production development methods and technologies in the framework of the "CONFORM" project prepared far the industrial research foundation. Along with product development processes carried out, time savings of 40%, effort reductions of 30% or even turnover increases for product lines of up to 20% had been reached for the individual sections. "Market compass, product compass and model compass" are tools that are relatively unknown but rather efficient with regard to their methodic principles and practical implementation. The following publication highlights the fields of application, procedures and advantages.
