A stark warning from feed compounders is urging producers to 'brace themselves' as higher feed prices are imminent. Unprecedented demand for raw materials, from a market already depleted of stocks, is forcing straights prices through the roof. And unfortunately, say the compounders, price rises cannot be avoided. Forecasts for the first quarter of 1996 show an expected increase of over xi20 a tonne -putting more pressure on producers to tighten controls and improve efficiency.
