摘要

Recently, many aerospace companies are studying to apply FSW to airframe, and then some companies have succeeded in the application of FSW. FSW is remarkable joining technology in aerospace industry. In this paper, the authors introduce the examples of application and development for FSW in aerospace industry. The application of FSW contributes to assembly cost reduction along with improvement of joint properties. The authors also clarify the problems to be solved in order to expand the application of FSW.
