摘要

The development and investigation of humidity sensing materials is a very imporant branch for research field of sensors and actuators. With respect to materials, the humidity sensors are usually classified into three kinds: electrolytes, polymers andporous ceramics. Lithium chlorite is a typical electrolyte as humiditive sensor and has been used practically since the 1970s. The preparing procedure is as follows: to LiCl solution was proportionally added PVA solution to make a mixed solution. From the solution, a thin film could be formed by means of dip-coating method. By adjusting the proportion of LiCl and PVA, varous films might be fabricated, which were sensitive to humidity in different RH ranges. To make a component which is expected to be sensitive from lower to higher relative humidity, those films must be assembled in series. Then the sensors are very expensive in cost. So they are rarely used in daily life; they are only used by the military.
