Theorem A. If f:X→Y is a homotopy epimorphism (monomorphism) of nilpotent spaces, then the p-localized map f_p:X_p→Y_p is a homotopy epimorphism (monomorphism) Here p is a prime or 0. In this note, we show that the conditions in Theorem A, i.e. "X is nilpotent" and "Y is nilpotent", are not independent, There exist some relations between them. We shall prove the following.
