摘要

THE bioactivity study of C_(60) and its relative derivatives is of considerable importance. Because C_(60) itself is a non-polar molecule and very difficult to dissolve in common polar solvents, its application in biochemistry field is greatly impeded. Successful preparation of some water-soluble C_(60) derivatives will be helpful. Friedman found that a water-soluble C_(60) derivative, [HOCO-(CH_2)_2CONH(CH_2)_2-C_6H_4]_2C_(61), has a bioactivity of inhibition of the HIVP in 1993. Huang reported thatwater-soluble C_(60) lipoplast has sharp cancerocidal activity to human uteri' s cancer cells. Recently, Chiang studied the scavenging ability of water-soluble multi-hy-droxyl C_(60) derivative-fullerenols to superoxygen anion radical by chemical luminescent determination. The results indicated an excellent efficiency of fullerenols in eliminating super-oxygen anion radical produced by xanthine/xanthine oxidase. So far, the study on the scavenging of fullerenols to hydroxyl-radical has not been reported.
