The article discusses a method of hoisting ropes risk analysis on the basis of wear processes of build-up in wires breakage and utilisations of reliability models. It presents the examples of risk work analysis of bearing hosting ropes which are applied in main shaft's hoist with hard working conditions. The manner of risk reduction was discussed thanks to which a considerable limitation of the risk was obtained, accomplishing at the same time meaningful economic effects.
