With an objective to exchange of views and ideas with professionals who have been actively involved in the planning, design and construction of various types of dams with the application of innovative methodologies and new technologies, Central Boardof Irrigation and Power organized a three day training programme on "Planning, Design & Construction of Earth & Rockfill, CFRD, Concrete, and RCC Dams" on 18-20th May, 2010 at CHIP Conference Hall, Malcha Marg, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. The training programme was inaugurated by Shri Y.N. Apparao, Former CMD, SJVN Ltd. and Chairman, Athena Demwe Power Pvt. Ltd. on 18th May, 2010. The-eminent speakers besides Shri Y.N. Apparao who addressed the gathering during the inaugural session were Shri V.K. Kanjlia,Secretary, CBIP, Shri A.C. Gupta, Director (WR), CBIP and Shri K.P. Singh, Advisor (E), CBIP.
