Sprint Alloy and Techalloy, both subsidiaries of The Usinor Group, opened a new fine wire production facility in Huamantla, Tlaxcala, Mexico, in an inauguration ceremony in January that was attended by Mexican President Vicente Fox.The operation, called Trefilados Inoxidable de Mexico (TIM), was scheduled to have begun producing stainless steel fine wire (0.006 to 0.032 in.) by the end of January.
