U. K.-based Whitelegg Machines Ltd. reports that its MOTOFORM 3-axis wire and tube bending machine, designed to process wire and tube up to 13 mm, offers several advantages that make the system excel for short production runs. "This machine is primarily used for the production of motor car seat head rest supports which come in a vast variety of both simple and complex forms, according to the car maker's individual requirements," a press release said. It noted that the latest version of the system, sold to a customer in Australia, was equipped with a hopper/magazine feed unit and a twin-head chamfering system that automatically takes pre-cut lengths of wire or tube from the hopper, chamfers both ends and places the rod/tube into the bending machine.
