The People's Bank of China(PBOC) is to raise funds in the international capital market for the construction of its massive payment system, said Ying Fushe-ng, director of the bank's national clearing centre. Ying spoke at a press conferenceheld on Monday for the '96 China International Exhibition on Financial Banking, Technology and Equipment. He Said many overseas financial organizations have shown interest in the project, regarded by the central bank as a priority in China's Financial computerization.
