摘要

A kind of ferrous particles which are different from those of chemical deposit among the sediments of the dam seepage water at a certain reservoir in China has been observed. Their shapes show hollow tubes, which perhaps are a kind of biogenic minerals. The structure, micrograph and chemical component of this sediment were studied with X-ray diffractometry, infra-red spectrometer, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and analytical transmission electron microscope (AEM). It is determined to be a weakly-crystallinic amakinite. Discovering this tubular amakinite has a new significance in investigating hypergene ferrogeochemistry, biomineralogy as well as safty and reliablity of rock-soil project.
