Technology in mining mostly originates from small and medium size enterprises working in close cooperation with local mining companies, resulting in excellent cost efficient solutions used only in a single place on the world. To bring these .hidden gems" to global surface, the i-mine alliance was founded, Combining mining tradition with leading edge technoiogy, the ceremony took place in an underground location at the famous world heritage salt mine in Wieliczka, Poland. The i-mine alliance combines the unique competences of the member companies to offer products and complete solutions for mine automation, communication, safety and information technology, i-mine members together with external partners provide products, solutions, systems and services to the global mining community.
