Dismay about believed unfair international competition prompted French livestock producers to campaign during the 24* livestock show 'SPACE'. The well attended and successful show was held from September 14-17 in Rennes, which is in the heart of France's livestock business. The annual livestock show 'SPACE', held in the centre of the French livestock industry, was a success. The show presented more than 1200 exhibitors and attracted visitors from all over the world. The organisers welcomed delegations from various Asian, European and Latin American countries. Due to excellent historical connections in Africa the show had many visitors from this continent. A remarkably high number of visitors came from Islamic countries since, in contrast with the previous three years, the show did not coincide with the Ramadan season. These visitors showed particular interest in developments in the Doultrv and dairv sectors.
