Getting as close as possible to the biological limit of layers, that is what Lohmann Tierzucht emphasised during it's annual franchise distributors meeting. As if this isn't difficult enough, there is also the matter of politics to deal with. If thereis one reason for distributors and hatchery staff from more than 30 countries around the globe to come to the Lohmann meeting it is the opportunity to exchange knowledge and to learn from each-other. Experts from Lohmann Tierzucht offered the latest insights in research and development and also urged their guests to stay sharp. "There is a world of differences between good performing flocks and lesser performing flocks, even in one country," said Javier Ramirez, the new managing director of Lohmann Tierzucht. He continued: "The number of actions before and after layer chicks arrive on farm is huge.
