Digital Image Scrambling Approaches Using Multi-Dimensional Orthogonal Transform and Fast Realization

摘要

This paper proposes a new approach for image scrambling using multi-dimensional orthogonal transform and provides the fast algorithm of realization. The orthogonal sequence can provide an orthogonal transform for digital data, which is useful for image scrambling and descrambling. The keys for scrambling are a set of the parameters to generate the orthogonal sequence, if only one of them has changed, the result will be quite different, So the method has the characteristic of high security. In order to save the computing time, serial and parallel fast algorithm are proposed. When using fast algorithm, the key image can be used to improve the security. For a binary image and a gray scale image, different sequences and fast algorithm are used to scramble. The experimental results show that the histograms of digital image after scrambling have random Gaussian distribution and these fast algorithms can effectively decrease the computing complexity.
