摘要

In a recent article, Morgan and colleagues mentioned that in spite of favorable attitudes toward organ donation the general public continues to be reluctant about donating organs (Morgan, Harrison, Chewning, Davis, & DiCorcia, 2007). Morgan and colleagues blamed the entertainment media's negative framing for the failure of national education campaigns to erase persistent myths about organ donation and encourage universal acceptance in society. The opposite argument can also be made: that national education campaigns have consistently labeled unfavorable facts and realities about organ donation as myths and perhaps have lost credibility among the general public.
