Of interest to many chemists are the symposia associated with polymeric materials and organic semiconductors, including organic photovoltaic cells (OPVs), dye-sensitised solar cells (DSSCs), organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) and conducting polymers. However, another symposia reported in brief covers recent developments in nanocrystals, nanoparticles, nanotubes and nanowire materials. (For the symposium on materials education see part I in the February 2009 edition.)
