The Norfolk Island Pine, botanical name Araucaria heterophylla, is a darling plant to have around the holidays. We call this tree Charlie Brown's Christmas tree at our house just because it reminds us of the television show of Charlie Brown picking out his Christmas tree. It's one of the few pine or fir trees that will adapt to living in a home. We decorated our Charlie Brown Christmas tree with popcorn and small balls at Christmas; it became quite a conversation piece. It could also be decorated with small, cool lights.
