2011 will be the International Year of Chemistry. A number of events and activities are planned by RACI. IYC activities should encourage chemists to engage with each other. Thus, 'Women Sharing a Chemical Moment in Time' aims to bring chemistry women together worldwide for a breakfast meeting on Tuesday 18 January, which is in the week preceding the official launch of IYC2011 in Paris. In addition to networking, the aim is to celebrate the pivotal role of Marie Curie in chemistry.
