When Italian entrepreneur Lapo Ancillotti, well known in yacht building, wanted to develop an experimental kit plane, he approached composites design house High Modulus (Auckland, New Zealand, 2331) for help. Because 51 percent of a kit plane must be built by the owner. Ancillotti wanted to create a kit with the fewest parts possible.
