Pearls and Jade, a new pothos (Epipremnum aureum [E. pinnatum]) cultivar developed in Florida, USA, is a mutation selected from plants of cv. Marble Queen that had been subjected to gamma irradiation. Pearls and Jade produces small plants compared with other pothos cultivars. Mature leaves reach an average of 7-8 cm long and 4-5 cm wide compared with 12 x 8-cm leaves of Marble Queen. The leaves display areas of white, grey, and green coloration in irregular patches. Under greenhouse conditions, Pearls and Jade showed good to excellent overall plant quality.
