Production and sale of coal from New Hope's operations for the 3 months to April 2008 was higher than the corresponding quarter in 2007, due to increased tonnages from both the New Acland and New Oakleigh mines during the period. New Acland's saleable production of 940,000 tonnes in the quarter was 11 percent higher than the 2007 corresponding quarter, while New Oakleigh's saleable production of 121,000 tonnes was 32 percent higher than the previous corresponding period.
