摘要

An optimal design procedure of an in-line diesel fuel injection system is considered. The research objective was to develop an approach for upgrading an existing injection system by performing only some low-cost modifications on its design. Therefore, the design variables are related only to a relative small number of geometrical parameters of the injection system. These parameters influence the shape of the cam profile of the pump, represented by a Bezier curve, the pump plunger prelift, the geometrical end of delivery and the length of the high pressure tube.
