摘要

The behavior of nonlinear analog circuits is described by a set of differential algebraic equations (DAE). We are developing simplification and approximation methods which can be applied to this DAE system in order to generate a reduced symbolic system, where a user given error bound is assured automatically. Either the reduced system can be analyzed further to achieve a better understanding of the circuit's behavior or it can be used as a behavioral model which can be solved numerically easier and faster. In the following we will focus on two aspects of the algorithm: simplification of subexpressions and monitoring of the index: during simplification. [References: 6]
