摘要

The present paper aims to show, how a non-material interface in a deformable body with electric quadrupole has to be described as a cosserat continuum. Such surface is thermodynamical activ and is bearing surfacial electromagnetic field quantities, [1, 6]. Based on the macroscopical (nonrelativistic) results obtained in body for the ponderomotive forces, couples and energy various alternate expressions of the surface forces, couples and energy are given on the surface, so that the treatment, is a natural fashion, gives rise to the concept of surface stress moments. This result is a generalized case of various special results obtained in earlier investigations of electromagnetic interfaces [2, 3]. [References: 6]
