[Li(THF)_4][N'_3N]_2Nd_2Cl_2(#mu#_5-O)Li_3 (2) ([N'_3N])~(3-) = ([Me_3SiNCH_2CH_2)_3N]~(3-)) was prepared by transmetallation of Li[N'_3N] with anhydrous neodymium trichloride in THF. After recrystallization from diethylether/pentane (1:2) light blue crystals of 2 were obtained, which were characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Space group: P2_1, Z = 4, lattice dimensions at 203 K: a = 1260.8(3), b = 3832.5(8), c = 1569.2(3) pm, #beta# = 106.07(3) deg, R_1 = 0.0541. In the anion of 2 a nearly trigonal bipyramidal [Nd_2Li(#mu#_5-O)]~(7+) unit is observed.
