摘要

The triple conference of 12th Joint Vacuum Conference, 10th European Vacuum Conference and 7th Annual Meeting of the German Vacuum Society (JVC-12/EVC-10/AMDVG-7) was held in Balatonalma′ di, Hungary from 22 to 26 September 2008. EVC-10 was the 10th of this series since Prof. J.S. Colligon set up the first one in Salford in 1988. The series of JVC conferences are organised biennially by the vacuum societies of Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia. The German Vacuum Society fosters the cooperation with other vacuum societies and joined its meeting to these conferences. The main sponsor of the triple conference was the International Union for Vacuum Science, Technique and Applications (IUVSTA). It was organised by Roland Eo¨tvo¨ s Physical Society and coorganised by the Hungarian Vacuum Society, 3 institutes of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS) and 3 Hungarian universities.
