Reaction of the potassium salt of iPrNHC(S)NHP(S)(OiPr)_2 (HL) with AgPF_6 leads to the hexanuclear [{Ag_3(iPrNHC(S)NP(S) (OiPr)_2-S,S′)_3}_2] ([(Ag_3L _3)_2]) complex. The reversible conversion between yellow-emitting ([(Ag_3L_3)_2]) and blue-emitting ([Ag_3L_3]) materials on grinding and recrystallization was established. [Ag_3L_3] was also prepared by a mechanically induced solid-state reaction.
