摘要

Acral lentiginous melanoma (ALM) is the predominant form of melanoma in Asians. It occurs on the hairless skin of the palms, soles, and subungual regions, with the sole being the most common site. ALM shares certain histopathologic features with lentigo maligna melanoma (LMM), but traditionally it is considered more aggressive with worse prognosis.1"3 Recent studies suggest that this may be due to delayed diagnosis rather than a true difference in biologic nature of the tumor.4"6 Therefore, early diagnosis is crucial in the management of ALM patients#
