It was with great interest that I read the article "Is Q-Switched Neodymium-Doped Yttrium Aluminium Garnet Laser an effective approach to treat Xanthelasma Palpebrarum? Results from a clinical study of 76 cases" from Karsai and colleagues.1 The authors report on the treatment of 37 patients presenting with xanthelasma palpebrarum (XP). Of 76 lesions, 57 were treated with a 1,064-nm Q-switched neodymium-doped yttrium aluminium garnet (Nd:YAG) laser, and the remaining 19 were treated at 532 nm with the Q-switched Nd:YAG laser.
