Unlike arterial aneurysms, venous aneurysms are a much less frequent pathology. They may involve various parts of the body, such as femoral, jugular, iliac, and axillary veins.2"5 These aneurysms occur equally between the sexes and are seen in different age groups.1 Only a few cases affecting the GSV have been registered,5"11 so experience with this pathology is limited to isolated cases.
