An Engineering Critical Assessment (FCA) is s procedure that may be used to define and characterize critical imperfection sizes from which acceptance criteria for nondestructive examination (NDE) can be developed or confirmed. The paper will explain the objectives, adopted methodology, with comparisons to Workmanship criteria and imperfection sizing. 1'he paper addresses HOE processes it is not intended to give descriptions of the methods.
