Turacos are known as territory birds that breed solitary in pairs (del Hoyo, Elliott, & Sargatal, 1997). In the wild, several turaco species have been observed in pairs, family parties and groups (Fry, Keith, & Urban, 1988; del Hoyo et al., 1997; Sun& Moermond, 1997; Forshaw & Cooper, 2002; Riehl, 2007). White-cheeked Turacos were seen as individuals, in pairs and family parties (Fry et al., 1988; Forshaw & Cooper, 2002; Harland, 2007). Due to their potential aggressive behavior towards fellows it is best practice to keep turacos in pairs.Notes of cooperative breeding within the family of Musophagidae are limited to some species. Such behavior is known from Violet Turacos Musophaga violacea Isert, 1789 (Bent & Corbett, 1993; Plasse & Todd, 1994), Purple-crested Turacos Gallirexporphyreolophus (Vigors, 1831) (Raison, 1992), White-bellied Go-away Birds Criniferroides leucogaster (Rüppel, 1842) (Riehl, 2007), Grey Go-away Birds Corythaixoides concolor (Smith, 1833) (Young, 1976; Plasse & Todd, 1994) and Western Plantain-eaters Crinifer piscator (Boddaert, 1783) (Todd, 1998).
