In a move designed to grow its business and provide customers with turnkey packages for noise control products, ATCO Noise Management Ltd., Calgary, Alberta, Canada, has acquired all of the assets of Higgott-Kane Industrial Noise Controls Ltd., the Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, supplier of custom engineered silencing systems to the power and process industries. The company will retain its name and continue operations in Cambridge as a division of ATCO Noise Management. The acquisition is very significant for ATCO Noise Management and is expected to double its sales revenues; detailed financial terms of the acquisition were not released. However, Jeff Kane and John Buttell, the previous owners of Higgott-Kane, will remain with the company, and all of Higgott-Kane's employees elected to join ATCO.
