Engine manufacturers are today placing higher demands on filters, producing high-performance engines that require effective and reliable air, oil and fuel filtration, and crankcase ventilation, to meet the increasing demands of end users. Testing and quality control have long played a key role in the production of filters that offer long, low-maintenance service lives, but filter manufacturers are now reported to be increasing their investment into these areas to meet more stringent legislation and the heightened requirements of the latest engine designs.
