A U.K. specialist in designing and building acoustic testing chambers has completed one of its biggest-ever projects, this time for diesel and gas generator set maker FG Wilson. The development marks the latest step for FG Wilson in the expansion of both staff numbers and test facilities at its Larne site in Northern Ireland. The largest generating set manufacturer in Europe, FG Wilson designs and produces both standard and customized generator sets with power outputs covering 5.5 to over 2200 kVA, This includes small standby sets suitable for domestic use to large units that are capable of powering a large factory. At the heart of the investment is an anechoic test chamber considered to be one of the world's largest and supplied by IAC of Winchester, England.
