As recent headlines out of Japan demonstrate, having reliable backup electrical power can mean the difference between safe operation and disaster in the event of a utility power outage. Lectrus, a Chattanooga, Tenn.-based electrical systems integrator, and designer and manufacturer of custom metal enclosures, has completed work on an enclosure for use at Cooper Nuclear Station (CNS). Located in Brownville, Neb., CNS is the Nebraska Public Power District's (NPPD) largest single-unit electrical power generation station.
