Even before the current spike in fuel prices, many school districts, facing depleted budgets, have been feeling the pinch concerning their bus transportation costs. And now Spartan Chassis - a subsidiary of Michigan's Spartan Motors - and Canada's Lion Bus are teaming up in an attempt to provide some relief in the form of a new Type C school bus designed to deliver lower operating costs.
