Briggs & Stratton has introduced a pair of new snowblower engines designed to provide easy starting and reliable performance at temperatures down to -20℉. The new Snow Series 750 and 950 engines will be available this year on Murray snowblowers sold at Walmart, as well as Simplicity and Snapper snowblowers sold at power equipment dealers, the company said. The 950 Series will also be sold as Polar Force on Ariens products sold at Home Depot and equipment dealers. "Our snow engines are designed, developed and tested specifically for harsh snow environments," said J.P. Benjamins, director of Marketing - Consumer Engines, at Briggs & Stratton. "We take snow very seriously. We feel strongly enough about the unique nature of snow engines that we have a Milwaukee, Wis.-based team that works on snow exclusively. The snow and utility versions of a given engine are managed independently and treated as related but separate projects."
