The Durst division of Regal Beloit Corp., Clinton, Wis., has announced a new product line, the Lectric Drive, developed as a joint venture with another Regal Beloit division, Marathon Electric. Lectric Drive is designed to allow the mounting of Durst hydraulic pump drives directly to Marathon electric motors. The drive creates a new wrinkle in the delivery of energy to operate hydraulic equipment, Durst said. It gives users with electric motors an energy-efficient way to power hydraulic pumps or an alternative to diesel-powered drive systems when electric power is available.
