Distillations is one of the magazines I read from cover to cover as soon as it arrives. I have found it interesting and sometimes even fascinating in its reporting of the various aspects of scientific history. Philip Ball's article on synthetic biology ("Man Made," Spring 2016, p. 14) was typical of what I expect—factual, well-researched material presenting all aspects of a subject.
