摘要

The parallel flow brazed microchannel heat exchanger (MCHX) has been widely used over the last 30 years, especially in the automotive area with a dominant popularity. Over the last decade the use as condensers in transport air conditioning (AC), residential AC and chiller applications have grown due to high efficiency, significant reduction of refrigerant charge and has been a very strong alternative to traditional fin & tube (F&T) coils up to 3-4 tube rows. So far it has not been possible to fully utilize microchannel technology in evaporators requiring defrosting and in condensers with 4 and more tube rows. Present paper is describing a new concept idea to show possible solutions addressing key challenges and limitations of present MCHX technology.
