In the previous papers, we have described the specific characteristics of development of male sex cells in young, three- to four-month-old senescence-accelerated prone mice of the SAMP1 strain under exposure to a chemical mutagen [1, 2]. The mutagenic effect increased the genetic entropy and caused numerous disturbances in the structure of the spermatogenic epithelium, ultimately completely destroying the latter. However, the increase in genetic instability in spermatogonial stem cells did not lead to irreversible chaotization of the spermatogenic system. Despite the fact that the intensity of induced mutagenesis considerably exceeded the high spontaneous mutagenicity level, spermatogenesis was recovered sufficiently well. The experimental ontogenetic approach to the problem of male gametogenesis, developed in our studies, allowed us to make the first step to analyzing this problem.
