The Expert Committee of China Refrigeration Expo (CRH), comprised of distinguished professors from top-ranked Chinese universities, compiled reports on the various exhibitions at CRH 2015 held in Shanghai this April. These reports will be published in JARN on an irregular basis. The first report on compressors by Professor Ma is being published in several installments starting this month. Semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors are the most popular type of compressor used in small- and medium-size refrigeration equipment. In terms of evaporation temperature, there are the three categories of medium- and high-temperature, medium-temperature, and low-temperature applications. The evaporation temperature of semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors-may reach -50℃.
