The genus Echthistatodes Gressitt, 1938 is revised and redefined, and the male of its type species, E. brunneus Gressitt, 1938 is described for the first time. Echthistatodes gongshanus sp. nov. is described from Yunnan as the third species of the genus. A morphologically similar genus Petromorphus gen. nov. ( 石头天牛属 ) is established for Petromorphus yunnanus sp. nov. and Petromorphus yunnanus australis ssp. nov. Another three allied genera Centruroides Breuning, 1940, Centruropsis Breuning, 1950and Falsotrachystola Breuning, 1950 are reviewed base on the type specimen or fresh materials for a comparison with the new genus. Endophallic structure of Echthistatodes Gressitt, 1938, Falsotrachystola Breuning, 1950 and Petromorphus gen. nov. in inflated and everted condition are investigated and discussed. Illustrations of habitus and major diagnostic features for all new taxa are provided.
